#LambertsLayup

medicine for the back of your mind

As invested as we are in the 2019-2020 Thunder I think it’s worth a quick reminder that as of July 2019 this is what we have to look forward to. So Yell til you lose your voice this year, let our boys know we love them every time they compete for us. Then go home, drink some tea and sleep easy because the future is bright in God’s country. #Lambertslayup

The Big Picture

So here’s the deal, Oklahoma City was out Paul George, out Russell Westbrook, and in many people’s minds out of the conversation. But here we are approaching the end of January and dare I say it, we’re in the playoff picture people. The trade deadline is approaching and many experts thought if Chris Paul hadn’t been traded by this point, he would be by the deadline of February 6th. So what’s the big picture you ask? Well great question Okie’s, the big picture is that as of now we are right where we need to be, on February 7th, we’re going to find out where we’re going next. Do we shake things up and add talent while ultimately letting some go, or do we stay quiet and bet on our current talent. Well, I don’t have the answer to that buy i do have some advice, buckle up OKC. Things are about to get interesting. #Lambertslayup

History is Rewritten

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander joins Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Oscar Robertson as the only NBA players in history to register a 20/20 triple-double in their first two seasons.

Shai is the only Thunder player other than Thunderman himself, Russell Westbrook, to ever record a 20/20 triple-double

Shai is starting to really find his role within the team. I think as fans and maybe some of the players might of been concerned coming into this season. I mean how could you not be without Russ, but we are seeing the labor of the whole team paying off, this isn’t just Shai although he deserves a truck load of credit. Chris Paul has stepped in as a mentor and is playing with a renewed purpose in Oklahoma, Adams still brings his physicality, Schroder is a 6th man of the year candidate thus far, and Coach Billy Donovan has shined without Westbrook and has the team in position to make a run for the playoffs. I think fans should be in for an exciting finish for the season because 20/20 is only the start for the 2020 Thunder #Lambertslayup
